Little Caesars Pizza was started in 1959 by Michael and Marian Ilitch.  They put the first location in Garden City, Michigan and it was located in a strip mall.  The original store was named Little Ceasar’s Pizza Treat and it is still open to this day.  They are most famous for their advertising with the catchphrase “Pizza! Pizza!”.  This was introduced in 1979 and it was used to sell two pizzas for a similar price as one from a competitor.  Little Caesars Pizza is considered to be the 4th largest pizza restaurant in the United States.

Little Caesars Pizza is well-known for their pizza and they used to serve square pizzas in a long box.  They have changed the concept a little bit and they now serve a traditional pie in a traditional box.  They are most well-known for their Hot-N-Ready pizzas now and many locations to very well with these pizzas.  They also deliver in some areas and they serve crazy bread, Italian cheese bread, chicken wings, and dips.  They do have many specialty pizzas and they also allow customers to create their own pie.

The Little Caesars Pizza is looking to expand through franchising and they currently have many prime areas available in the United States.  They estimate that the startup costs will be $193,050 to $619,500 depending on the location and the size of the location.  The stores that cost more to get started are typically free-standing.  They require that an individual or a group has a net worth of $150,000 or more per store and $50,000 in liquid assets.  They also require that you are capable of obtaining financing to get the store open.  They advertise that the franchise fee and royalties are lower than most other pizza franchises as well.
